THEODORE KAKOYIANNIS

Theodore (Ted) Kakoyiannis is a co-founder and Principal of Valyrian Capital LLC. Prior to co-founding Valyrian Capital LLC Ted co-founded Imian Partners (2005). Ted has capitalized on more than 20 years of legal and real estate experience to create a notable skill set in deal structuring, contract negotiation, leasing, financial engineering and management. Prior to co-founding Imian, Ted was a principal in Fidelity-AMG Real Estate Development, LLC a real estate investment firm which acquires and develops institutional quality retail properties in the Northeast. Prior to joining Fidelity-AMG Real Estate, Ted was counsel to the New York firm Eiseman Levine Lehrhaupt & Kakoyiannis, P.C. (2000 to 2004), a boutique law firm with a specialty in real estate acquisition, leasing, development and finance. Ted provided counsel to owners, contractors and developers in the areas of construction litigation; real estate acquisition; real estate financing; and negotiated and drafted construction contracts. Prior to joining Eiseman Levine, Ted was an attorney at the New York firm Ingram Yuzek Gainen Carroll & Bertolotti, LLC (1996 to 2000). Ted specialized in construction litigation and representing architects and engineers in malpractice actions.

Ted graduated from New York University (1990) and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School (1993). Ted is admitted to the bars of the States of New York and New Jersey, a member of the New York State Bar Association, The Bar for the City of New York and the Hellenic American Bankers Association.

PAUL TULLY

Paul Tully is a co-founder and Principal of Valyrian Capital LLC. Paul has merged his background and experience in construction and real estate establishing a unique skill set including project management, financial analysis, market analysis, strategic planning and personnel management. Prior to co-founding Valyrian Paul co-founded Imian Partners, a real estate investment firm based. Prior to the formation of Imian Partners, Paul successfully owned and operated Integrated Development a real estate company specializing in construction management and consulting (1997-2005). Prior to the formation of Integrated Development, Paul worked as a project manager for Turner Construction (1994-1997) where he was involved with various ‘from the ground up’ projects including big box retail, museum and industrial facilities. Paul began his career in real estate with Breslin Realty Development as a sales and leasing associate.

Throughout his career, Paul has managed the development and renovation of numerous residential and commercial projects including, high end home renovations in Fairfield County, Westchester County and Manhattan, as well as development of luxury homes in Colorado and retail and restaurant locations in New York City. Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and his Masters of Science in Real Estate from New York University.

JOHN HEIL

John Heil is a co-founder and Principal of Valyrian Capital LLC. Prior to co-founding Valyrian, John joined Imian Partners as a principal in 2011. Prior to joining Imian, John co-founded LDV Hospitality in 2003. John brings a broad ranging skill set to the partnership given his background and experience in finance, design, retail and residential construction, project management, leasing and strategic planning. John graduated from Cornell University’s Dyson School of Business in 1990 with a degree in Applied Economics & Business Management and did post-graduate work at Fordham University in  the International Political Economic Development program.

GREGORY FIEBER

Gregory (Greg) Fieber is a co-founder and Principal of Valyrian Capital LLC. Prior to co-founding Valyrian, Greg co-founded Drum Hill Partners LLC, a real estate investment and development subsidiary of the Fieber Group LLC. Prior to Drum Hill Partners, Greg was an investment banker in the Leveraged Finance Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he assisted in underwriting leveraged loans, high yield bonds and asset-based loans for companies across various sectors.  Prior to this he worked in private equity at Great Point Partners and as an investment banker at Bear Stearns. Greg graduated from Williams College in 2003 and Columbia Business School in 2011.

MICHAEL SHAFTACOLAS

Michael Shaftacolas (Mike) is the Director of Construction for Valyrian Capital LLC. Mike is a talented structural engineer and instrumental in coordinating Valyrian’s team consultants and contractors from design development through project close-out.

Mike joined Imian Partners in 2013 as Director of Construction. His specialties include structural engineering, design integration, project management and project coordination gained through his more than fifteen years in the construction field in in New York and Europe.

Prior to joining Imian Partners, Michael was head of the structural engineering department at Modinos & Vrahimis, a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering design firm in Cyprus (2008-2012). Mike was the Design Coordinator for the Limassol Marina, a 500 million dollar project consisting of boat and yacht berths (1,700,000 sq. ft.), residential apartments and retail stores (440,00 sq. f.).He also managed the design of structures in high seismic zones including the design of large industrial facilities for public utility companies and office towers in the private sector. While living in New York, Mike practiced as a senior project engineer and consultant with GACE Consulting Engineers, DPC (2003-2008) where he designed and managed numerous projects types including residential, commercial, and hospitality.

Michael is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New York as well as in Cyprus.  He received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
